Halloween Horror Nights VS “THE HAUNT” - Davie FL
My Hubby and I recently went to Orlando FL to Frolic about at Halloween Horror Nights.
The last time we had visited was in 2019. 5 years later and we decided to go back. And boy, was it different.
We get to the park and the amount of people were shocking. Very long lines for the bathroom. It took forever just to get a beer. No paper maps. Thought that was strange?
We only managed to see 4 haunted houses and we had express passes. Years ago we used to see all 10 haunted houses and still had time to see shows. Now it feels like you need the whole weekend to see everything. We did enjoy ourselves at Finnegan's Bar & Grill and had the most amazing meal. That was my favorite part of the night. Relaxing with good food and a cocktail. We did a few rollercoasters and eventually went back to the hotel.
For 1 night it was fine. I did have fun. Would I do it again anytime soon? No.
Frankly its too expensive for tickets and a hotel. Just my opinion. I think HHN is fine for the Orlando locals. But for me, driving 3 hours and getting a babysitter for my Dog isn’t worth it.
And its quite clear that 1 night isn’t enough time. So, if you are planning to go to HHN, give yourself a whole weekend.
Back home in Fort Lauderdale, you’ll find “THE HAUNT” @ Tree Tops Park in Davie FL.
Spooky characters through a woody area. Great jump scares. Food and drinks. And its only 15 min away from my house.
We plan to attend that event this weekend. We got the RIP option which provides air conditioning restrooms and a small area for music and dancing. The Haunt also gives you the option for a spooky character to touch you. Very creepy. Last year I screamed bloody murder and ran for my life. Lol. Or, you can do the less scary trails for the kids. The Haunt is more affordable and convenient for the whole family. I’m pretty excited to go again this year!
We still have the Pumpkin Patch at Flamingo Nursery and a 5k run at Flamingo Gardens. Lots of fun activities. All close to home.
