We all deserve Happiness!
Today I’ve been inspired to say - WE ALL DESERVE HAPPINESS! That’s right! Even on our darkest days, we have to remind ourselves to do something that makes us happy. Sometimes we get stuck and we don’t know where to look? Or, we’re doing all our favorite Hobbies/activities and we still feel down. That’s completely normal. We are Human. We feel all kinds of emotions but sometimes our Brains fixate on 1 thing. And it will obsess over and over. You have to finds way to break that cycle. You may be feeling guilty of something you can’t change. Forgive yourself. You may be a perfectionist and can’t stand you made a mistake. Forgive yourself. If you feel like you’re tried all these things and you still feel severely depressed, call a friend or Family member. Someone you trust. Or, take it to a professional.
I find talking to a Therapist can help you greatly. They tend to dig deep into your childhood to understand an event that may trigger your adulthood. Once you meet with your inner child frequently and find the problem together, the both of you can start to heal.
I believe most of our depression is from past events. Things we have a hard time accepting. Guilt. Regret…etc.
Anxiety is fear of the unknown future. Together, Depression and Anxiety form a dangerous weapon. But if we can work on something a little at a time, we can control our reactions to emotional events and “lower the volume” so the world doesn’t feel like its screaming at us.
So go do something today that feeds your soul. Even if its a bath. Reading a good book. Journeling. Gardening.
Do 1 thing that’s just for you! It is not selfish to put your mental health first before anyone. You can’t help others if you’re not helping yourself.
